Apple Valley Travel Park  is one of the oldest parks in Hendersonville, N.C. and the Blue Ridge Mountain area. The site that the park is located on was actually an apple orchard at one time  and is now one of the favorite parks for people to come and spend their vacation.

The park is located near Lake Lure (where the movie "Dirty Dancing" was filmed), Chimney Rock State Park, The Biltmore Estate ( largest family home in N.C.) and only a short drive to Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, N.C. Historic Downtown Hendersonville, with its many antique shops, is only a 5 minute drive from the park. There is also a Super Walmart and many good dining places just minutes away. There are many u-pick farms ( such as JUSTUS U-Pick Orchard)-(www.justusorchard.com). where you can pick apples, berries, vegetables and homemade canned goods for those delicious home cooked meals in the park.

Whether you like golfing, hiking, whitewater rafting, antiquing, site seeing or just relaxing  in the shade of our plentiful trees, this is a place you need to visit.
